Most visitors book across the wider spread of Ljubljana and come out to this rising ground below Gradišče nad Pržanom for its gardens and calm lanes rather than for any cluster of lodgings, then ride back toward the centre of the capital of Slovenia.

What are the main landmarks in Pržan?
The oldest mark here is a hill. Gradišče nad Pržanom crowns the neighbourhood, an Iron-Age hillfort whose earthworks ring the rise that gave Pržan its name and its long story of settlement above the western reach of Ljubljana. Old houses line the streets below.
Along the lane the Gunceljska 45 House and the Gunceljska 37 House keep the timbered form of the farming village, while the Slovenian Computer History Museum brings a very different collection to this corner of the capital of Slovenia.
What is the history of Pržan?
People held this hill long before the city reached it. The earthworks of Gradišče nad Pržanom mark an Iron-Age settlement on the rise, and the farming hamlet of Pržan grew on the slopes below it, keeping its own name and church-going lanes as Ljubljana spread outward across the plain. The village stayed rural for centuries.
Only as the capital of Slovenia pushed its edge west did Pržan fold into the built body of the city, its Gunceljska farmsteads left standing among the newer streets.
