Sankt Leonhard is the easy compromise in Graz. The district touches Innere Stadt along one edge, which puts the old centre within walking reach while the rooms themselves sit on calmer streets, and the Leonhardbach threads the whole length of the quarter. The Ursulinenkloster marks the near end.
Further out, toward Ries and Waltendorf, the ground lifts to the Roseggerwarte and the beds thin to guesthouses and private flats.

Monuments outnumber museums here. The Tegetthoffdenkmal and the Persönlichkeitsdenkmal Ivo Andric stand as the district's two commemorative set-pieces, while the Ursulinenkloster keeps the older religious fabric that predates both of them and the St. Peter City Cemetery closes the far end. The Roseggerwarte watches from above.
One further entry is archaeological rather than built, an excavation listed as the Samian Ware Discovery Site, and the Attention Badmintoncenter rounds out a register that refuses to be tidy.

The ground here was worked long before the district existed. An excavation registered as the Samian Ware Discovery Site puts activity in Sankt Leonhard well behind any charter, leaving the street plan above it to a far later age. The Ursulinenkloster came after.
Graz drew its second district around the Leonhardbach, fixing the borders it still shares with Geidorf, Ries, Waltendorf, Jakomini and Innere Stadt, and the Tegetthoffdenkmal joined its public ground later still.
