Himmelstraße sets the tone for a stay. The addresses along it, the houses recorded at numbers 41 to 43 among them, sit within walking reach of the Weinbergkirche and put most of Grinzing inside a short circuit on foot. Room supply is the catch.
Many visitors keep a base elsewhere in Vienna, inside Döbling or further in, and treat Grinzing as a half-day out with the Höhenstraße on the way.

What are the main landmarks in Grinzing?
Two churches head the list. The Weinbergkirche and the Pfarrkirche Krim both stand on the district's record, and beside them run a set of recorded addresses, Himmelstraße 41 to 43, the Wohnhaus at Krapfenwaldgasse 6a, and Haus Lemberger. The Höhenstraße is here too.

Independence ended in 1892. Grinzing had run as a municipality of its own until then, and the merger folded it into Döbling, which Vienna numbers as its 19th district and which still sets the administrative frame here. Older ties survive in the record.
The Wirtschaftshof once held by the Stift Sankt Pölten marks an outside landholder, while the Weinbergkirche and the Pfarrkirche Krim carry the parish names.
