Two very different frontages. The practical split in Weston is between Weston Road near Lawrence Avenue, where the old high street shops sit, and the fringes by Highway 401 and Highway 400, which suit a car and little else. The Humber River side stays residential.
Anyone heading downtown can follow Weston Road southeast, since the neighbourhood runs contiguous with the inner city in that direction.

Central United Church anchors the strip. Weston Road carries the historic core, a run of small businesses and services just north of Lawrence Avenue that has kept the shape of the village it once was. The Humber River draws the western edge.
Jane Street closes the east. Between them lies the fabric of a former town, contiguous with the inner city to the southeast along Weston Road.
What is the history of Weston?
A village stood here before Toronto arrived. Weston was incorporated as a village in the 19th century, kept its own municipal standing for decades, and was absorbed into the Borough of York only in the late 1960s. York itself was amalgamated into Toronto in 1998.
Few former towns inside Toronto sit in suburban surroundings like this, and fewer still avoided being drawn up as planned satellites in the manner of Leaside or New Toronto.
Where is Weston?
Highway 401 caps the north, the Humber River the west, Eglinton Avenue the south, and Jane Street the east. Black Creek Drive edges the north too.
