Engelsby grew from two nuclei. The older, the village by the Osbektal now called Engelsby-Dorf, belongs to the Stadtteil Mürwik. The second, Windloch, lies east of it and stayed with Engelsby, and the Musikerviertel carried the building southward from there.
Twedt and Trögelsby came in as well.
