The nearest metro station to Can Baró is Alfons X on line L4, and bus lines D40, 24, 28, 39, 55, 74, 86, 114 and 119 serve the barri. Every June the Can Baró festival brings the barri together with food, vermouth tastings, music and performances. The Turó de la Rovira became a night-time gathering place for its views.
The city council has closed the site at night since 2 May 2023.

About Can Baró
What are the main landmarks in Can Baró?
In Can Baró, the Turó de la Rovira site of the Museu d'Història de Barcelona keeps the battery where four 105 mm Vickers anti-aircraft guns went into service on 3 March 1938. The site was restored in 2006. Quarrying for limestone to build the Eixample cut such a hole in the hill that the Mühlberg bridge was built across it in 1991, with views over the city.
The barri takes its name from the Can Baró masia.
What is the history of Can Baró?
The Can Baró masia belonged in the 19th century to Josep Manuel de Pascali i Santpere, Baron of Sant Lluís; in 1909 it sheltered people fleeing Barcelona during the Tragic Week, and in the Civil War it served as a hospital. The Parc de les Aigües water tank was built on the estate in 1868. In 1869 the brothers Joaquín and Luisa de las Llanas divided the estate, then part of the town of Sant Martí, into plots; Barcelona annexed the town in 1897.
