About Aluche
What are the main landmarks in Aluche?
In the east of Aluche lie the colonias of Puerto Chico and Almodóvar, with the oldest buildings in the area, and further west the colonia San Bruno faces the parque Aluche. The park was called the parque Arias Navarro until 2015. A railway once ran close to it.
It linked the Goya station with Almorox until 1 July 1970.
What is the history of Aluche?
A place called Aluche already appears in a royal decree of Felipe II dated 26 March 1580, and the Catastro de Ensenada records the market gardens of the Huerta de Aluche. The modern barrio belongs to the Ciudad Parque Aluche, whose plan was finished in 1960. The metro arrived on 6 January 1961, and the private building that followed made the area dense.
Its neighbours' association, the Asociación de Vecinos de Aluche, dates from 1974.
Where is Aluche?
Aluche lies by the Casa de Campo and the A-5 motorway, bordering the barrios of Campamento, Las Águilas, Lucero and Los Cármenes and the Carabanchel district.
