What is the history of Ta Ku Ling?
Ta Ku Ling is a hill name that slid downhill. The rise immediately north carries it first, and the area at its foot took the same name for the ground where Hiram's Highway and Clear Water Bay Road cross. That crossing did the work a market square does elsewhere, fixing a point that could be named, mapped, and driven to from either direction.
Sai Kung District claimed the administrative side. Razor Hill sits off to the southwest, and the New Territories set the wider frame.
