The Spanish built this quarter. Piazza Carità sits at the centre of it.
The whole area forms part of the Historic Centre of Naples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the monument to Salvo D'Acquisto standing at the northern end of the Quartieri Spagnoli.
