Beds cluster near Sensō-ji. Streets around the temple hold the densest run of rooms in Taitō, and staying inside that circle puts the Sanja Matsuri route, Hanayashiki and the lanes of small shops within a few minutes on foot. The Skytree side offers a different night.
Rooms towards the Tokyo Skytree, the Sumida Aquarium and the Sumida Heritage Museum swap temple crowds for tower floors, and that side suits a visit weighted to viewing decks rather than temple mornings.

Worship set the pattern. Sensō-ji, dedicated to the bodhisattva Kannon, grew into the largest Buddhist temple in Tokyo and pulled the district's trade, festivals and lanes into orbit around its approach. Sanja Matsuri belongs to that inheritance.
Stone monuments record the smaller stories, among them the Monument of the Biographical Sketch of Katsukawa Shun'ei and 入谷朝顔発祥之地碑, while the Ichiyo Memorial Museum and the Ikenami Shōtarō Memorial Museum keep two writers' names in Taitō.
