What is the history of Kafr Sousa?

Kafr Sousa began as a village on the plain southwest of the walled city, its name marking a settlement long distinct from Damascus proper. Growth folded it inward. As the boulevards of the twentieth century pushed outward, the old village was drawn into the fabric of Damascus and rebuilt as a modern quarter of offices and wide roads.
