What are the main landmarks in Fort Hamilton?
Three names carry the post. The Harbor Defense Museum sits on the ground of the original fort, designed by Simon Bernard and completed in 1831, of which about half of the defenses still stands; Robert E. Lee served here as post engineer from 1841 to 1846. Dyker Beach Golf Course is the open ground.
