Park Spoor Noord spreads over former rail ground along the northern boundary, and its lawns break a grid that otherwise runs street by street from the Italiëlei across to the Carnotstraat. The museums keep south of the Carnotstraat. Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal rises over the streets that hold the Carolus Borromeuskerk and the Museum Mayer van den Bergh, all of them inside the old core rather than this buurt.
