Where to stay in Parkridge

Parkridge is housing rather than a destination, which makes it a base for the west side of Saskatoon rather than a place visitors seek out. Two Saskatoon Transit routes serve it, the Riversdale line along Fairlight Drive and the McCormack line running west on McCormack Road. Parks break up the grid.
Parkridge Park and James Girgulis Park are the two open spaces inside the neighbourhood.

What are the main landmarks in Parkridge?
Parks and schools are the fixed points here. Parkridge Park is the larger of the neighbourhood's two open spaces and James Girgulis Park the other, while James L. Alexander School serves the public elementary catchment and St. Marguerite School the Catholic one. The high schools sit outside the neighbourhood.
Tommy Douglas Collegiate and Bethlehem Catholic High School both stand in the adjoining Blairmore Urban Centre.
What is the history of Parkridge?
Saskatoon annexed this land between 1975 and 1979, and the subdivision went up from the early 1980s. The far western end waited much longer. It stayed undeveloped until the Blairmore Urban Centre was laid out beside it, which brought the last phase of Parkridge to completion in the early 2010s.
The street names record the city's own history, being taken from people who contributed to Saskatoon.
Where is Parkridge?
Parkridge sits on the west side of Saskatoon, south of 22nd Street, and was for years the city's farthest neighbourhood in that direction until construction in the Blairmore Urban Centre pushed the edge further west. Fairlight Drive runs along its boundary. McCormack Road carries the other transit route through, and the neighbourhood falls inside the federal district of Saskatoon West.
