What is the history of Spinut?
Spinut grew from farmland. For centuries the bay of Poljud lay outside the walled core of Split, worked by monks from the Saint Francis Monastery and Church, Poljud and by market gardeners on its flats. The twentieth century filled those fields with housing, and the building of Stadion Park mladeži turned the shore into a civic gathering place.
