Deccan Gymkhana Ground lies on that same side.

Hadapsar turned industrial after 1990. Estates and works took over the eastern approach to Pune, and the suburb that had sat at the city's edge became one of its built-up quarters within a generation, tied by road to every part of the city. The older story belongs further west, in Kasba Peth and the other Peth quarters that grew from the charter Pune dates to 1436.
