Nimera, Phagi, Jaipur — Area Guide & Where to Stay

Nimera is a village and land revenue circle of Phagi tehsil, Jaipur district, on the SH 12 ten kilometres south of Phagi and just short of the Tonk line.

About Nimera, Phagi

Where to stay in Nimera, Phagi

Not every neighbourhood fits every trip — here's what each one is good for.

Nimera has no hotel trade of its own, and nothing in this corner of Phagi tehsil is laid on for visitors. Phagi town is ten kilometres north. From there the SH 12 carries on to Sanganer, thirty-six kilometres further, on the southern edge of Jaipur, and that is where a traveller books.

You would sleep out here only for a reason already on the ground, a family in Lasariya or Sameliya, a plot of land to see, a wedding, or the pilgrim road running south to the Kalyan Ji shrine at Diggi.

About Nimera, Phagi

What are the main landmarks in Nimera, Phagi?

Nimera's landmarks are entries in a land register rather than buildings, and three of the head villages in its patwar circles carry a second name apiece: Keriya doubles as Dwarkanathpura, Nainasya as Maharajpura, and Hatheli as Harsundarpura. The SH 12 does the rest. The road leaves Phagi, runs down past Nimera, and crosses into Tonk district at Diggi, where the Kalyan Ji shrine draws walkers out of Jaipur, then carries on to the Jain Dadabadi at Malpura thirty-one kilometres south.

Neither shrine stands in Nimera.

What is the history of Nimera, Phagi?

Nimera enters the record as a revenue unit before anything else, its name heading a circle whose land books a revenue inspector keeps. Jagannathpura and Shri Ramganj answer to it. No year of founding sits anywhere in that record.

What the papers do fix is a change of district: Rājasthān carved a new Dudu district out of Jaipur district in 2023, moving Phagi tehsil and Nimera into it, then abolished Dudu in December 2024 and handed the tehsil back.

Where is Nimera, Phagi?

Nimera lies on the flat plain at the southern edge of Phagi tehsil, Chauru to the west and Madhorajpura east, with Diggi and the Tonk district line just south.
