Churches mark the district. Hoeggen kirke serves the housing area as its parish church, a modern brick building set among the residential streets, while the older Strinda kirke stands on the farm ground to the north that the area grew out of. Sport and faith share the ground.

What is the history of Nardo?
Nardo grew from farm land. The ground belonged to the old rural district of Strinda east of Trondheim, the same parish that Strinda kirke long served before the city reached it. Then the housing came.
