About Nakhimov Raion

Where to stay in Nakhimov Raion
Not every neighbourhood fits every trip — here's what each one is good for.
Two halves, one raion. The urban side sits against the Leninsky District boundary and keeps the rest of Sevastopol close, while the rural zone, more than half the raion's ground, runs north through vineyards to the Bakhchysarai Raion line. The choice is between pavement and vine rows.
Nakhimov Raion's farm end asks for a car, and the road back in is longer.
About Nakhimov Raion
What are the main landmarks in Nakhimov Raion?
Ships and vines carry the raion. Ship repair, viticulture and winemaking are the biggest branches of the raion's economy, and the second pair needs room, the rural zone takes up more than half of Nakhimov Raion's 231 square kilometres. The raion's own list runs to ship repair and wine, not to monuments.
The northern boundary with Bakhchysarai Raion is farm country, and the eastern reach of Sevastopol runs out into the same open ground.
What is the history of Nakhimov Raion?
The raion was drawn in 1957 under the name Нахімовський район, pulling the city's northern and eastern outskirts into a single unit. Half of it was countryside. Farm country runs north to the Bakhchysarai Raion boundary, the built-up side presses against Leninsky District (Ленінський район), and the two trades the raion became known for, ship repair, and the vine rows behind it, still divide its ground.
Where is Nakhimov Raion?
Sevastopol's northern, north-eastern and eastern ground is Nakhimov Raion, city at one end, farm country up to the Bakhchysarai Raion line at the other.
