Street signs read Princeton, Harvard, and Yale in College Park, a residential district of Orlando strung along Edgewater Drive north of Lake Ivanhoe.
About College Park

Where to stay in College Park
Not every neighbourhood fits every trip — here's what each one is good for.
College Park is residential ground, and the choice inside it is really a choice of which stretch of Edgewater Drive to sit near. The southern end, at Lake Ivanhoe, is closest to downtown Orlando. Streets around Lake Adair and Lake Concord run quieter, on the older grid that Golfview Street and Peachtree Road hold between them.
Dubsdread holds the far north, at Par Street.
About College Park
What are the main landmarks in College Park?
College Park keeps the Jack Kerouac House on Clouser Avenue, the rented bungalow where Kerouac was living when On the Road reached print and where he wrote The Dharma Bums. A residency programme keeps it in use. The S. Howard Atha House sits on West Princeton Street.
Peachtree Road carries the John N. Huttig Estate, an edge of the Lake Adair-Lake Concord Historic District, finished in 1935 to a James Gamble Rogers II design. Dubsdread has kept its golf course at the corner of Par Street and Edgewater Drive since the 1920s.
What is the history of College Park?
College Park grew out of citrus land, where John Ericsson planted a grove north of Princeton Street in the 1870s and put up its first known house. Then came the Great Freeze of 1894-1895. Building resumed in the boom of the 1920s, when Walter Rose platted Rosemere and named its streets for the universities, and H. Carl Dann laid out Dubsdread two years later.
Orlando pushed its city limit north to Par Street to take the district in. Ardsley Manor followed along Lake Silver in the 1950s.
Where is College Park?
College Park lies north-west of downtown Orlando, between Orange Blossom Trail and Orange Avenue, with Colonial Drive closing the southern edge.
