The Central Business District, the strip between Colonial Drive and Lake Lucerne, gathers the office towers and puts the Orange County Regional History Center within a short walk of most rooms. Thornton Park keeps the east side. South Eola wraps Lake Eola Park, trading the tower blocks for lawn, water and a slower start to the morning. Parramore runs west toward Orange Blossom Trail.

What are the main landmarks in Downtown Orlando?
The Orange County Regional History Center is the district's museum, and the First United Methodist Church of Orlando stands among the older masonry of the central grid. Tinker Field sits out on the western side. The Well'sbuilt Hotel keeps its place on the Parramore side, west of the office towers.
Lake Eola Park gives the district its open ground, and the Lake Eola Heights Historic District takes the streets immediately north of the water.

Downtown Orlando is the historic core of Orlando, the ground the rest of the city grew outward from, and the oldest of that fabric survives in the grid between Colonial Drive and Lake Lucerne. Two historic districts hold that record. Lake Eola Heights Historic District preserves the older streets north of the lake, and Lake Cherokee Historic District does the same at the southern end toward Kaley Avenue.
The Well'sbuilt Hotel carries the Parramore side of that story.
Where is Downtown Orlando?
The district runs from Marks Street south to Kaley Avenue, and from Mills Avenue west to Orange Blossom Trail, with Lake Eola near its centre.
