Conway has houses, not hotels, so the beds sit just outside it. The hotel cluster serving Orlando International Airport sits a short drive south of Hoffner Avenue, close enough that you can be back on Conway Road in minutes, while Downtown Orlando holds the bigger rooms to the northwest. Stay south for early flights.
Choose the northwest side if you want restaurants within walking distance rather than a drive along Gatlin Avenue.

What are the main landmarks in Conway?
Barber Park anchors Gatlin Avenue in the middle of Conway, an Orange County spread of ball fields, a skate park and a dog park. Conway United Methodist Church stands on Anderson Road at the settlement's old centre, and Conway Elementary School and Conway Middle School fill the blocks nearby. Water fills the rest.
Lake Anderson, Lake Margaret and Bass Lake all lie inside the district, while the far bigger Lake Conway begins beyond its southwestern edge, around Belle Isle.
What is the history of Conway?
Conway was settled in the 1850s and had become a place of its own by the early 1900s, a community well south of Orlando. Brick came first. One of the first five paved highways in Orange County ran out of Orlando as the brick Conway Road, following the line of Briercliff Drive, Curry Ford Road and Conway Road before it stopped at Anderson Road.
Orlando annexed parts of Conway between 1964 and 1973, and the rest stayed unincorporated Orange County.
Where is Conway?
Conway sits south-east of Downtown Orlando, bounded by Hoffner Avenue along the south and Semoran Boulevard along the east, with Pine Castle and the Lake Conway chain beyond its western edge.
