Delmar Boulevard runs along the south and carries the traffic east toward the Central West End, where the hotel rooms are, while Union Boulevard and Belt Avenue close the two ends and Maple Avenue the north. DeBaliviere Place begins below Delmar. Ivory Perry Park is the green.

What are the main landmarks in Visitation Park?
The academy that gave the neighbourhood its name is gone. Visitation Academy of St. Louis stood at the southeast corner of Cabanne Avenue and Belt Avenue from 1892 until 1962, and the ground it left became Visitation Park, which the city renamed Ivory Perry Park in 1989. The park kept the older name for the streets around it.
What is the history of Visitation Park?
The convent set the pattern. Visitation Academy of St. Louis held the corner of Cabanne Avenue and Belt Avenue for seventy years, and the houses that went up around it filled the blocks between Maple Avenue and Delmar Boulevard. It was demolished after 1962.
