What are the main landmarks in Petit-Montrouge?
Two monuments punctuate the streets: the Column to Armed Peace and the Monument to the Flatters Mission. Saint-Pierre-de-Montrouge serves as the parish anchor, while Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, the Couvent Saint-François, and the Église Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur de Montrouge spread further religious foundations through the quartier. Art turns up too.

What is the history of Petit-Montrouge?
The name is borrowed. Petit-Montrouge belonged to the adjacent commune of Montrouge before 1860, and it stands in the city's register as number 55 of the quartiers administratifs, the older name still fixed to the ground. Alésia supplied the second one.
A street of that name cuts the quartier through, the principal Métro station repeats it, and the quartier Alésia and Petit-Montrouge have never shared the same boundaries.
