Two names sit on one bay. Sok Kwu Wan and Picnic Bay, written 野餐灣, both name the same inlet on the east coast of Lamma Island, and neither has pushed the other out of use. Village houses set the grain of the place, packed close to the water rather than strung along an inland street. Hong Kong's dense ground lies elsewhere, on Hong Kong Island and across Kowloon, which left this shore to its restaurants and its houses.
The bay kept its own scale.
