Lingotto, Turin — Area Guide & Where to Stay

Lingotto is a Turin neighbourhood shaped by the Fiat Lingotto plant, whose halls now carry the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli.

About Lingotto

Where to stay in Lingotto

Not every neighbourhood fits every trip — here's what each one is good for.

Rooms beside the old Fiat Lingotto plant put the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli, the Oval Lingotto and the Lingotto multifunctional complex within one block, which suits a stay built around whatever is booked there. Parco Di Vittorio is the counterweight. Beds near the park and the PAV - Parco d'Arte Vivente trade the complex's traffic for open ground, and the chiesa di San Giovanni Bosco stands on the same side.

Match nights change the arithmetic again, since the Palasport Olimpico and the Stadio Comunale fill the district's beds whenever something is booked.

About Lingotto

What are the main landmarks in Lingotto?

The Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli and the Museo Carpano, housed at Eataly, give the district two collections within the footprint the Fiat Lingotto plant left behind. Sport takes a whole quarter. The Palasport Olimpico and Stadio Comunale area and the Palazzo del ghiaccio stand within the same few streets.

The chiesa di San Giovanni Bosco, the Madonna delle Rose Church and the chiesa di San Giovanni Maria Vianney carry the parish names, with the Circolo della Stampa and the Bomb Shelter Museum beside them. Parco Di Vittorio and the PAV - Parco d'Arte Vivente close the count.

What is the history of Lingotto?

Lingotto starts in the 17th century. The Fiat Lingotto plant changed the scale of the place, and the neighbourhood that had been established centuries earlier grew around the factory rather than the other way round. What followed is legible in the buildings: the Lingotto multifunctional complex, the Oval Lingotto near it, and the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli.

The Bomb Shelter Museum preserves another part of it.

Where is Lingotto?

Parco Di Vittorio gives Lingotto its open ground, with the Oval Lingotto and the Lingotto multifunctional complex close by.
