Santa Rita filled out in the 1960s and 1970s and is well supplied with shops and services, which makes it a workable base away from the centre. Corso Unione Sovietica runs down its eastern side and Corso Siracusa its western. Borgo San Paolo and Crocetta lie north.

The Santuario di Santa Rita was built in a medieval neo-Romanesque manner in the first half of the twentieth century and gave the quarter its name. The Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino stands on the base of the old Stadio Comunale Vittorio Pozzo, enlarged for the winter Olympics of 2006, with the Palasport Olimpico beside it, renamed PalaAlpitour in 2015 and InalpiArena in 2024, though Turin still uses the older names. Villa Amoretti sits in the Parco Rignon, the smaller of the two municipal parks.

Santa Rita was farmland into the nineteenth century. Building came mostly in the 1960s and 1970s, and the sanctuary that names it had gone up earlier in the century. Circoscrizione 2 took in Mirafiori Sud in 2016 under municipal decentralisation rule 374.
Where is Santa Rita?
Via Tirreno, Corso IV Novembre, Corso Monte Lungo and Corso Lepanto mark the northern boundary with Borgo San Paolo and Crocetta. Corso Siracusa closes the west and Corso Cosenza the south, both against Mirafiori Nord. Corso Unione Sovietica runs down the east, with Borgo Filadelfia and Lingotto beyond.
