If you want a base rather than a destination, that is the argument for staying here at all: the city is inside reach of the Toyota Automobile Museum, the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, Noritake Garden and the Insulator Museum without being any of them. What matters more than the area is what surrounds it: the Nagoya institutions sit close enough that the city works as a base for them, and Museum Meiji-mura and the Menard Art Museum extend that reach further out again. A temperate band covers it.
Higashiyama Sky Tower is the one entry on the list built for looking at the surrounding ground rather than at objects.
What is the climate of Kasugai?
Weather rarely decides a trip here. The temperate band Kasugai occupies gives a cool part of the year and a warm part, and the museums that fill any itinerary are almost all indoor ones. Museum Meiji-mura is the obvious exception.
A day walking its grounds, or a visit to Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens and Higashiyama Sky Tower, is better taken in the milder stretch of the year than at either extreme. Indoors, the season stops mattering.
