Its records still carry the Municipality of Carmona, even though the place is now counted as a component city of Cavite, and both forms of the name still appear side by side. The corridor through Cavite filled with traffic and building, and Carmona found itself inside a continuous belt rather than at the edge of open country, which is the condition the City of Carmona was chartered into.
