Where to stay in Park Hill

About Park Hill

What are the main landmarks in Park Hill?

Park Hill orients around its parkway and its museum edge. Montview Boulevard runs the neighbourhood's spine, carrying traffic past Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church toward the western lawns where the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science face central Denver. Old houses anchor the interior.

Anyone crossing the district measures distance against the Robinson House to one side, the museum lawns to the west, and the streets that fall back into the rest of Denver.

What is the history of Park Hill?

Park Hill grew as a streetcar suburb east of early Denver. Its bones still show that era: Montview Boulevard was laid out as a broad residential parkway, and Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church rose along it as the blocks filled with the brick and stone houses that give the neighbourhood its settled look. The Robinson House survives from that build-out.

Park Hill later gathered the civic weight of its western neighbours, the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, which pulled visitors from across Denver toward its edge.

Where is Park Hill?

Park Hill sits east of central Denver on a temperate high-plains shelf, its tree-lined blocks running along Montview Boulevard from the Robinson House toward the western lawns of the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
