Roeselare gives one obvious base. The Cityhall of Roeselare, Sint-Amandskerk and Sint-Michielskerk stand in the old streets, and the Baljuwhuis and Huis Wyckhuyse are the two houses worth a detour once the churches have been seen. You should stay central.
A town of this size keeps its accommodation close to the market streets, and the walk from there to De Geuzentempel or the Grauwzustersklooster is short enough that no other district makes a case for itself. The Directeurswoning Roeselare belongs to the industrial record rather than the religious one, and it is the one name here that points at what the town did for a living. The Heilige Kruisverheffingskerk adds one more stop to the same circuit.
Three towns share the municipality. Beveren, Oekene and Rumbeke lie outside the built-up centre, and the Klooster van Beveren-Roeselare names the first of them in its own title. Rooms out in the villages are rare.
