The Turin half of Borgata Lesna is residential, set along the Torino-Fréjus railway, which makes it a quiet edge of the city rather than a base for seeing it. Via Santa Maria Mazzarello, via Tirreno and corso Brunelleschi bound it, with strada dell'Arco and strada della Pronda closing the far side. The Le Gru shopping centre sits over in the Grugliasco half.

The late-Liberty villini on via La Thuile are the piece of architecture the borgo is known for. The parish of Madonna della Guardia gave rise to the A.S.D. Kolbe sports association in 1962, and its oratory houses the Torino 22 scout group.

What is the history of Borgata Lesna?
The ground was known between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries as a farming suburb of Puteo Stratæ, the older Pozzo Strada quarter that goes back to medieval times. The first documented notice of the area comes from the Carta Topografica della Caccia of 1762. Bombs fell on it in 1942.
The borgata filled out after the second war and has kept building since the 2000s.

Borgata Lesna splits between two communes. The Turin part lies between via Santa Maria Mazzarello, via Tirreno, corso Brunelleschi, strada dell'Arco and strada della Pronda; the Grugliasco part spreads between via Crea, via Achille Grandi, via Pininfarina and via Di Vittorio. Borgata Aeronautica, Borgata Paradiso, Borgata Quaglia, Casermette and Gerbido adjoin it.
