What is the history of Falenica?
Until 1951 Falenica was a village of its own, and the summer cottages that filled its wooded plots before the Second World War drew people out of Warsaw for the season rather than for the night. Then the city took it. Falenica became part of Warsaw, inside Wawer, and kept its place on the right bank of the Vistula.
