Where to stay in Żerań
How the choice of base plays out on the ground.
Beds are thin on the ground in Żerań itself, and the practical choice runs between the estate side at Tarchomin and the older streets of Praga-Północ within reach of central Warsaw. Tarchomin is the quieter option. Praga-Północ adjoins it on the Warsaw side, which suits anyone treating the power-station end as a base for work rather than a place to sightsee from.
Annopol, Różopol and Konstantynów are the other named estates.

About Żerań
What are the main landmarks in Żerań?
The power station sets the skyline. Żerań Power Station dominates the area, a working plant on the Vistula bank rather than a set piece, and its bulk is what most visitors register first when they approach from Praga-Północ. Two listed buildings survive alongside it: willa Krysinek, and the administrative block of the Polfa Tarchomin pharmaceutical works. Neither is a crowd-puller.
For galleries and set-piece squares the trip runs into central Warsaw.
What is the history of Żerań?
Żerań grew from works and housing, so no charter date exists for it. The sources describe a suburb on the northern edge of Warsaw, inside Białołęka, whose identity settled around the power station on the Vistula rather than around any market square or parish core. Polfa Tarchomin added a pharmaceutical works, whose administrative building is named among the area's few landmarks alongside willa Krysinek.
Housing followed on all sides. Tarchomin, Różopol, Konstantynów and Annopol ring it as estates, with Praga-Północ across the boundary.
Where is Żerań?
Żerań borders the Vistula, with Praga-Północ alongside and the Tarchomin, Różopol, Konstantynów and Annopol estates on its other edges.
