Goltra Preserve is the address that draws visitors. The Hillside Trust holds the ridgetop and hillside woods at Brokaw Avenue and Baltimore Avenue, and the Cincinnati Park Board keeps the adjoining stretch of the same slope in Westwood as Bracken Woods. Roll Hill School anchors the other end.

What is the history of East Westwood?
East Westwood carries the name of Westwood, the village incorporated on 14 September 1868 and annexed by the City of Cincinnati on 8 May 1896. The younger record here is a land record. David and Phyllis Goltra gave The Hillside Trust its first 14 acres of this hillside in 1986, the builder J-II Homes added 36 acres in 2007 rather than meet the cost of developing them, and Clean Ohio Fund money bought a further 17.94 acres in 2016.
