Lohe is first recorded in 1235, through an Eberhard de La. The name comes from the Middle High German lā, a marshy meadow, and the village joined Nuremberg on 1 November 1923. Six of its heritage entries appear in the Bavarian register only as numbered items, which is how a small district's fabric usually reaches a city register.
The church is the exception. An Evangelisch-lutherische Kirche and the house at Kriegerlindenstraße 1 are the two pieces of built history that reach the record under names rather than codes.
