The fort works of Tonie anchor the northern reach of Prądnik Biały. Part of the ring of Twierdza Kraków, they include Bateria B-3 and a masonry Schron amunicyjny raised by Austrian engineers to guard the approaches down the Prądnik valley toward the city. The guns are long gone.

What is the history of Prądnik Biały?
Prądnik Biały grew out of a scatter of villages along the Prądnik north of Kraków. Older settlements such as Tonie, Witkowice and Bronowice Wielkie farmed the stream's valley for centuries before the growing city reached out and drew them in, and the Austrian forts of Twierdza Kraków that ring Tonie mark the years when this ground guarded the northern road. The city absorbed the fields.
When Kraków redrew its wards in 1991, these northern localities were bound together as the district of Prądnik Biały.
