Keltinmäki, Jyväskylä — Area Guide & Where to Stay

The district's waymark is its church. Keltinmäen kirkko stands among the housing as the local landmark of Keltinmäki, the building that fixes this hillside quarter on the south-western side of Jyväskylä. Around it the streets stay residential.

For the city's museums and lake shore you head down toward the centre, a short way north-east past districts like Kortepohja in central Finland.

Jyväskylä reached out across its hills as the city grew, and the south-western ground filled with housing in its turn. Keltinmäki took shape there as a residential quarter on the rising land, joining the south-western districts beside Kortepohja and Köhniö. A parish church came to mark it.

It rises on the city's south-western flank. Keltinmäki occupies the south-western side of Jyväskylä in central Finland, a hillside quarter set out from the lakeside centre, with Kortepohja to its north and Köhniö along the way back toward the middle of the city. The wider land is lakeland.
