Muumimuseo is the name that brings visitors to Tulli, a museum on ground otherwise given over to the older customs and packing buildings the district grew around. Tullikamari is the older draw. Pakkahuone stands with it, the packing house that worked alongside the customs house, and the two together still fix what the name of the district means.

What is the history of Tulli?
A town plan was drawn for the area in 1900. The Tullikamari customs house followed a year later, in 1901, and with the Pakkahuone packing house beside it gave the district both its working purpose and the name it still carries. Freight decided the rest.
Storage, office and production buildings went up from the end of the 19th century, drawn by the railway yard alongside.
