What are the main landmarks in Mukhiani?
Mukhiani's best-known sight is the Chronicle of Georgia, a row of towering pillars carved with Georgian kings and biblical scenes on the ridge above the Tbilisi Sea. Its other landmarks are sporting. The Shatili Arena and the neighbouring Sport-kompleksi Shatili host indoor games and training, while Avchala Stadium lies a little further north toward the Avchala district.

What is the history of Mukhiani?
Mukhiani grew as a planned residential quarter on the northern hills of Tbilisi, built in rows of apartment blocks rather than around an old village core. Its layout belongs to the era of mass housing, when the city spread north past Gldani and Avchala. Its sports venues carry the name Shatili, a stone fortress village in the Georgian mountains.
Above the estates, the Chronicle of Georgia was raised as a monument to the nation's kings and its Christian past. It stays a place to live.
Where is Mukhiani?
Mukhiani lies on the northern edge of Tbilisi, in the hills west of the Tbilisi Sea reservoir. Gldani spreads out to one side, and the Avchala district reaches toward the Mtkvari to the north. The Chronicle of Georgia crowns a ridge to the east, on the high ground between the district and the water.
