Beds sit around the edges. Streets near Santa Francesca Romana and Santi Cosma e Damiano give the closest footing to the Arch of Titus.
Staying here suits you if the Circus Maximus and the Baths of Trajan are what you plan your days around, because the rione offers little else after dark.

What is the history of Campitelli?
Campitelli entered Rome's rioni around 1300 as the tenth, and Municipio I administers it under the modern division of the city. Its past is much deeper. The Comitium, the Curia Julia and the Regia belong to the earliest political ground of the Roman Forum, while the Flavian Palace and the Domus Aurea record the imperial building that came after, and the Septizodium survives only in the record.
The Temple of Divus Augustus and the Basilica di Sant'Anastasia al Palatino stand on the same ground.
