The old chapel still stands beside the new church. A rural chapel to San Pasquale Baylon went up in 1901 where via Fanelli meets via Alberotanza, and the parish that grew around it keeps its church on via Carlo Pisacane. Sant'Andrea is on via Leonida Bissolati and San Marcello on via Giuseppe Re David.
What is the history of San Pasquale?
The ground was in use long before the quartiere. Excavations for parking in the nineteen-eighties turned up tombs of the fourth and third centuries BC and the remains of a rock-cut church below ground, and the city had recognised San Pasquale as part of its eastern quarter back in 1927. Saicaf roasted coffee here.
