Beds in São Lázaro are few, because the parish covers well under a square kilometre and every edge of it is a boundary with somewhere larger. The line matters more than the middle. Santo António sits along the west, close enough that the Ruins of St. Paul's and the rest of the Historic Centre of Macau are a walk rather than a ride, while Sé holds the southern boundary and Nossa Senhora de Fátima the northern one.
Nossa Senhora de Fátima suits you if a plainer room north of the boundary matters more than the walk south.

What are the main landmarks in São Lázaro?
The parish takes its name from Lazarus. Macau's listed monuments stand outside the boundary rather than within it: the Ruins of St. Paul's over the Santo António line to the west, and the cathedral that gives Sé its name to the south. What São Lázaro holds instead is scale: roughly two-thirds of a square kilometre, the least ground of any civil parish on the Macau Peninsula, wrapped on every side by Nossa Senhora de Fátima, Santo António and Sé.
What is the history of São Lázaro?
Portugal governed Macau through civil parishes, and the line drawn around São Lázaro enclosed less ground than any of the others. Its neighbours could grow; it could not. Nossa Senhora de Fátima spread north over ground taken back from the water, Sé ran east toward the harbour, and Santo António thickened around the monuments that the Historic Centre of Macau later gathered up.
São Lázaro kept the shape its boundaries gave it, and the central-east peninsula filled in around a parish that had nowhere left to expand.
