Rooms follow ulica Grunwaldzka. Grunwald's beds cluster at the city end of the street, near the halls of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, where the City Park complex has filled the old hussar barracks between ulica Wojskowa and ulica Ułańska with apartments, shops and a hotel. Further west the road thins into housing, and rondo Jana Nowaka-Jeziorańskiego works as the tram interchange for the whole quarter.

What are the main landmarks in Grunwald?
Willa Flora stands at ulica Grunwaldzka 3, a neo-Renaissance villa begun in 1872 and the oldest surviving building on the street, raised as one of the garden restaurants Poznań filled with before the wars. Park Manitiusa lies further out over closed Protestant burial grounds, its avenues of American oak intact, renamed in 2000 for the Lutheran pastor Gustaw Manitius. The Pomnik Zwycięstwa closes its main walk.
Muzeum Policji sits on ulica Taborowa, and Teatr Strefa Ciszy works out of ulica Grunwaldzka 22, where Kino Olimpia ran until 2004.
What is the history of Grunwald?
Grunwald takes its name from ulica Grunwaldzka, which was renamed in 1919 for the Battle of Grunwald and passed the label on to the housing that grew along it after the Second World War. Trams reached ulica Grunwaldzka in 1902. Prussian cavalry barracks went up between 1885 and 1888 near ulica Ułańska, the deaconess hospital that became Uniwersytecki Szpital Kliniczny opened on ulica Przybyszewskiego in 1911, and the 1929 national exhibition ran right up to the roadway.
