Not every neighbourhood fits every trip — here's what each one is good for.
Piątkowo's estates hold flats, not rooms. A bed inside the district is the exception, so the workable plan is a room elsewhere in Poznań and a short run north to the blocks, the parish churches and the Piątkowo transmitter. Winogrady lies immediately south, closer to the older streets.
Morasko keeps the far side, thinner and less intensively developed than the estate ground below it.

What are the main landmarks in Piątkowo?
The Piątkowo transmitter carries the district's own name, a mast standing above estates whose blocks otherwise set the skyline from the late 1970s onwards. Three estate parishes carry saints. The Saint Hedwig of Anjou church in Poznań, the Divine Mercy church in Poznań and the Saint Padre Pio church in Poznań are three of the parishes recorded among the blocks.
Fort VI carries a number rather than a saint's name. Beyond the estates, the UAM lapidarium in Poznań and the Sacred Heart Church in Suchy Las belong to the same northern run.
What is the history of Piątkowo?
Building began in the late 1970s, and the estates of flats that went up then are what Piątkowo has in place of an older core. Piątkowo's record carries no founding year, only the decade the blocks arrived. Winogrady stands between it and the centre.
Those blocks filled the ground between Winogrady to the south and Morasko to the north, the latter still the less intensively developed of the two.
