What is Taichung known for?

Art closed the circle. The Lin Chih-chu Memorial and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts belong to the same city that once measured itself in prefectural offices.

Where is Taichung?

Ground is what Taichung has most of. The municipality reaches well past the museum streets, so the National Museum of Natural Science and the Dormitory of CHB, Jiguang Street belong to different parts of the same day rather than the same block. Changhua lies alongside.

How do you get to Taichung?

Approaches fan in from the middle. Taichung anchors the Taichung-Changhua metropolitan area, so arrivals reach it through Changhua about as readily as they do from New Taipei, and the size of the municipality means the last leg counts for as much as the first. Distances inside are real.

Anyone heading for the National Museum of Natural Science does better to plan the crossing than to assume a short walk from the stop.
