Święty Roch puts a room within a short walk of Most Świętego Rocha, the bridge that carries ulica Świętego Rocha over the Warta towards the old core of Poznań. Flats, student halls and offices hold the street frontage here rather than hotels, so a bed in the quarter is a residential address with a river crossing at the end of the street. The Rataje bus station gathers city and suburban routes on the southern edge.
It stands at Krzywoustego 19. Choose the quarter if you would rather cross a bridge than a lobby.

What are the main landmarks in Święty Roch?
Święty Roch holds three named features of its own, and ulica Świętego Rocha threads all three. The Church of Saint Roch was begun in 1938 to a design by Franciszek Morawski, finished in 1946 and consecrated in 1995, and it has served since 2003 as the sanctuary of Blessed Sancja Szymkowiak. Park Karola Kurpińskiego adjoins the church, laid out in 1938 on ground that had held a marksmen's brotherhood shooting range until the city bought the plot in 1920.
The park runs under one hectare. Most Świętego Rocha closes the street at the water.
What is the history of Święty Roch?
Święty Roch began as Stanisławowo, a town that Stanisław Górka founded here in 1562 beyond the walls of Poznań. Stanisławowo lost its town rights in 1599. A decree of Sigismund III folded the place into Poznań in 1611, when several hundred families lived there in timber houses set around a market square and a few lanes, most of them working a craft.
The Swedish Deluge left the suburb, by then called Łacina, close to ruin, and a fire that broke out in Stanisław Sadkowski's house on 13 June 1661 took 28 dwelling houses. Ulica Na Miasteczku still carries the older name Miasteczko.
