Umultowo was parcelled for single-family plots and university housing rather than for visitors' rooms. Osiedle Różany Potok went up between 1989 and 1998 as a postmodern grid of terraces around one small square, built for Kampus Morasko staff rather than for visitors, and the lanes off ulica Umultowska carry houses instead of rooms. Buses turn at the Różany Potok loop.

What is the history of Umultowo?
Umultowo enters the record in a Latin deed of 1253 as villa Unolfi, one of seventeen villages the dukes Przemysł I and Bolesław Pobożny handed to Poznań at the town's charter. In 1310 the wójt Przemek and his brothers sold the estate to the Poznań cathedral chapter for twelve grzywien, and it stayed church ground under the Dominicans until Prussia confiscated it for the Berlin merchant Zygmunt Otton von Treskow. The estate became the German commune of Ulmenhof in 1906, then was parcelled out.
Sand was dug here from 1982. The pit took refuse before the ground was reclaimed, and Poznań drew the village into the city on 1 January 1987.
