Germanou Patron Street runs the length of it from Rigenis Street to Alexander the Great Street with Arsinoe Street through the middle, and Ledra Street is a minute east, which is where the shops and the rooms of the walled city are. Stay on Ledra and walk in.

The Paphos Gate is the other way.

The Tabakhane Mesjid stands on Arsinoes Street near Pericles Street. The tanners kept two mosques, one at the tannery itself and one in the quarter where they lived, and this is the second of them. Its doors are shut.

What is the history of Tabakhane, Nicosia?

The tannery gave the quarter its name and then left it. It stood outside the Paphos Gate on what became the Municipal Gardens, tanning was a Muslim monopoly under Ottoman rule with its own guild and a seat on the district council, and the high commissioner ended that monopoly in 1879. The works moved to Köşklüçiftlik in 1886.

The boundaries were cut back in 1912.
