Miralbaida was built in 1982 in the north of the Poniente Norte district of Córdoba, its first blocks holding sixteen flats apiece. Flamenco supplied the street names. The church of the Inmaculado Corazón de María at Miralbaida was one of those raised under José Antonio Infantes Florido, who took the see of Córdoba in 1978.
A second phase followed in 1993 on Calle María la Talegona, in longer blocks of forty-eight flats.
